NOT a tribute?? When the band makes money by selling CD's, that you can get by the original artist, who obviously do the originals a darn sight better!!wink

The problem with Painintheass is that he, (I assume he's a he, but who knows !)is insanely jealous of Hells Bells. He is obviously a wannabe rock star who has decided to idolise AC/DC in order to bore teenagers in the pub. Painintheass would love to be up there as lead vocalist or lead guitarist but he doesnt have the skill. Those that can do, those that can't critisize. Go back to your bedroom Painintheass and take that school cap off your head !

i suppose you will go to all 73 ac/dc tribute band sites and tell them how much they are ripping ac/dc off well if it wasnt for these bands doing a fine job and making ac/dc even more money example ac/dc bring out a new album every 4or5 yrs in between they are hardly ever on the radio or tv so people go and see tributes and when they go they take friends who might not like this kind of music but when these guys hit the stage they have a good night and influences them to go out and but ac/dc cds so ac/dc are making money out of these bands so my advice is put a zip across your painintheass and start talking out of your mouth

This fool says he knows AC/DC and he's gonna have changes made? Seems like somebody has nothing better to do!! If he really DOES know them. Which I very much doubt. Probably just fancies Angus.wink

Its simple, (like painintheass)If you don't like it, don't go. If you do, then enjoy. What gives anyone the right to call someone a crook? Has anyone had a gun held to their head & demanded cash to gain entry or buy a t-shirt? I think not! tribute: thing done or said or given as mark of respect, affection, etc Quoting your own quote here,Lee always says in his act, how, in his opinion the songs rate as his all time favourites. I have never heard him say a bad word against ACDC,at the Fleece it was not in respect? I understand you have your right to your opinions, but you should respect peoples integrity, & right to entertain others. Half witted offensive comments should be kept to yourself.

Ian Jefferey, sorry mate but you have missed the point. I didnt say that they had to go out and have plastic surgery to make them look at all like them. I couldnt care less what they looked like. or what they played. If you are a tribute and you are making an effort (which isnt much on there behalf) to put on a school uniform, flat cap and have cannons blowing everyone's head off then so be it. If you want to play covers then play the the tunes that ac/dc played. Spend more time on getting a closer sound to ac/dc. Dont half arsed the gig and expect everyone to buy a tee shirt thats been rammed down your throat. It doesnt seem right what hells bells are doing and its us that's losing in the end, you know? that money you've busted your arse for all week is being "fleeced" away if you really really really thought about it Ian Jefferey you might even see what i'm trying to say. thats it for me i've said my bit.

Agreed to disagree then grin I can see where you're coming from though. I treat it as a fun night out as do a lot of regular fans - including many who have seen and enjoyed AC/DC live. I think it's a good chance to hear some AC/DC tracks played well live in a small venue like the Fleece - something that's unlikely to happen with the real deal (although Status Quo managed it wink ).

I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree. HB obviously float your boat. The other people at the Fleece might not have anything else to compare HB to and may have not seen another DC tribute. If that's the standard they are used to, it might be deemed good enough. Now if HB ain't my cup of tea, it might just mean that they aren't doing a good enough job of assimilating a DC show. Yes? My expectation level for a tribute band is obviously too high. I want more from them than just being able to stand there & play well, which any cover band worth their salt could do. I want them to move & act like the real deal on stage. Apart from HB's Angus, the rest of the band fall way short. The rhythm and bass guitarists pointing their guitars to the sky, a la the Scorpions, is one of many non DC things that they do. But as you say, if that's good enough for you, fine.wink

Hells Bells Not a tribute ? Alright so they don't look spot on, and they play a few covers, so what !! correct me if I'm wrong but the real DC played covers in there set in the early day's didn't they? ok they might not have been motorhead or maiden but i don't think chuck Berry Tunes would make there set any better! IMHO they should do some priest tunes and at the bull dog lee should ride onto the stage on a harley, now thats a tribute!!!! Keep the good work up boy's and don't change a thing........
